                                      CANTERBURY YACHTING ASSOCIATION

TANNER CUP AND STARLING MATCH RACING TRIALS FOR PROVINCIAL REPRESENTATION

1.  P Class Trials will be held on 13-15 November 2009 at NPCL. Starling Match Racing Trials shall be held on 7-8 November 2009 at NPCL.

2. Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2010. The Starling trials for sailors under 19 on the 31 January 2010 shall be organised by the CYA and governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2010. Starling Trials to be sailed under: “The Racing Rules of Sailing, Appendix C”.

3.  Entries close with the Secretary, CYA:

Tanner Cup on the 30 October 2009 Entry Fees $50.00

Starling Match Racing on the 30 October 2009 Entry Fees $50.00

4.  Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Organising Committee on payment of an

additional late fee of $30.00, provided measurement requirements are met.

5.  Starling Match Racing entries will be accepted only from boats which hold a valid “A”

Measurement Certificate.

6.  Measuring for P Class shall be carried out at MPYC on Saturday, 31st October, 2009, 9.00am.

All skippers who wish to enter in the trials are required to present their dry P Class for

measuring at the above time. It is the Skipper’s responsibility to ensure a boat will pass

measuring. There will be no exceptions made at the Trials for boats that have not passed

measuring.

7.  Tanner Cup Trials consists of 9 races, Low-Point Scoring System, App. A

8.  Starling Match Racing Trials consist of a Round Robin followed by knock out Semifinals

and Finals.
